Angela Morcone Giannini, Esq.
Angela Morcone Giannini is a founding partner of Fontana Giannini LLP in White Plains, New York. With over 30 years of experience representing plaintiffs in the areas of personal injury including automobile, premise, construction, and medical malpractice cases, Angela is known for ability to handle complex legal issues, tenacity in the courtroom, good judgment and compassion for each client’s personal circumstances. Over her career, she has been involved in many multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for her clients.
Angela has the honor of being selected a New York Super Lawyer and is rated AV Preeminent with Martindale-Hubbell.
She is a graduate of Fordham University, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa and Pace Law School, cum laude. She had the great honor of completing an internship in the NY Appellate Division, Second Department under the guidance of late Honorable Isaac Rubin. Angela began her law career at a large defense firm in New York City and then was recruited by the prestigious firm of Clark, Gagliardi & Miller, P.C. where she became a partner and handled plaintiffs’ personal injury cases, exclusively.
She has the honor of being selected a Fellow in the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Fellowship in the Academy is by invitation only for those who have achieved a career of excellence as shown by their skills in trial, and as demonstrated by their integrity and professionalism. The Academy is limited to Fellowship of 500 active trial attorneys in the United States. Angela has served on the IATL site committee and as a co-chair for New York State.
This year the New York State Bar Association presented Angela with the NYSBA Award for Attorney Professionalism. This award is given to an attorney “for outstanding professionalism, which is defined as dedication to service to clients and a commitment to promoting respect for the legal system in pursuit of justice and the public good, characterized by exemplary ethical conduct, competence, good judgement, integrity and civility.”
Over the years, Angela has graciously given her time and shared her litigation expertise with many law students in programs established by both bar associations and the New York court system. Even after graduating law school and admission to the Bar, these mentees continue to seek guidance and legal consult from Angela.
Angela presently serves as the President of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, a legal association of over 480 members whose mission is to promote justice for all, regardless of sex, advance the social, economic and legal status for women through the law and to raise the level of competence and integrity in the legal profession. Prior to serving as President, Angela also served on the WWBA Executive Committee as President Elect, Recording Secretary and Treasurer. She is also a cochair of the Litigation Committee and is the author of Litigation Tip, a column in the Westchester Women’s Bar Association monthly newsletter. Angela has also been an active member of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York where she has served on the Legislation committee.
Angela has also served on the Board of Directors for the Westchester County Bar Association and is an active member of the WCBA Judicial Screening Committee.
She has lectured on various litigation topics and presented at numerous continuing legal education seminars for the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, Academy of Trial Lawyers, CLE Center/Law.com, Pace Law School, Westchester County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association and PLI. Ms. Giannini has also been a Judge for Pace Law School’s Advocacy Program, National Trial Competition and Moot Court competitions and has graded briefs for the Environmental Moot Court Competition.
